So many travelers are complaining about the fuel surcharges the Airlines are charging passengers. The travelers maintain that the fuel surcharges should go away now that the cost of oil is down to $87 a barrel.
I did some research and found out that the Airlines implemented their first fuel surcharges when the cost of oil reached $30 a barrel in the year 2000. I doubt it will ever go that low again unless we go into a major economic depression.
Translation: Airline Fuel Surcharges are here to stay!
