We went to Carmel/Monterey over Memorial Day weekend and had a blast. We also drove to Santa Cruz for a day as well as Big Sur, which is spectacular. Here are a few pics from the trip. The more I see of the CA coast, the more I love it! The last 2 are terrible quality, but that's the best I can do through a plane window. The landing in San Diego has the most awesome views, you're actually landing in the city, not miles from the airport. I always tell all our visitors to sit on the left side of the plane so that they can see this spectacular landing view.

Beautiful photos!!

I especially like the VW in the Sunglasses shot. The areas you visited are some of the most beautiful on the planet. Thanks for posting. Very enjoyable.

Just gorgeous! Thanks for posting those. The car in the sunnies shot is so cool. I also like the bridge.

Yeah, the California coast is so beautiful. My dream is to do a roadtrip along the coast, top to bottom. I've been to sections of it, and most often to San Diego. Thanks again.

PS: What sort of camera were these taken with?

Thank you!

Fantastic pics! I haven't been to Cali since 1997 so didn't have a digital camera yet. So any good photos would need to be scanned.

I love the Cali coast - from Santa Barbara to Arcata. Big Sur is breathtaking no matter how many times you go--with a stop at Nepenthes for lunch (is it still there?)
