It was just after 5pm when a mother & daughter (ages 20s & 50s) were attacked & killed while walking. According to the news, it wasn't even dark yet & on the TV news I saw, it looked like a far-out, desolate area. I think the killer had probably been lurking & staking them out & finally decided to make his move. I personally wouldn't be walking in such a desolate, "far from civililzation" type area anyway.

That's why it's good to change-up your route & routine!

Right now it seems like a random attack. Do you have more info?

This can be helpful if someone is watching you, But sometimes random attacks just happen.

Probably makes sense -- if you're a spy, a crime lord, or you know someone has put a hit out on you.

For your average person who's life doesn't resemble that of Jason Bourne, it's probably as useful as checking under your car for explosives every time before you turn the ignition ... you know, "just in case".

I'm simply saying if you go out for walks, go to a few different places to walk & don't always go the exact same way. If you walk/drive to work, go different routes sometimes. The main point is, don't be predictable where someone knows exactly what you do M-F &/or Sat & Sun.
