Here's a link for those (like me who had to go to google to figure out what this story is about). It appears this story is in Louisiana, but I'm not all that sure.

Tonight on ID Channel, there will be a show about 8 women that we're murdered in my hometown.
The show is 2 hours long, for 4 nights. The time...9:00 PM Central.
I knew mostly all of them, due to where I worked at and also lived across the street from a "den" they've frequented.
We're hoping and praying that someone or people will be brought to justice...
I watched the 1st part last night. I look forward to seeing the 2nd part tonight. Do you have any local theories or knowledge you are willing to share?

Many of the theories lead to the authorities. But mainly it's most "arm chair detectives" that gets all these clues from newspapers and gossip.
I'm not willing to share any knowledge...Just what I've posted. Thankfully I live hundreds of miles away.
It looks like Showtime did a new series called Murder in the Bayou about the Jeff Davis 8 aka the Jennings 8. Did anyone watch it? I read a couple of articles and it looks like there is still no resolution. If anyone watched it can you give your take on the new series?

First I've heard of the Showtime series, but if I get to see it I'll post my views about it here.
Thank you, I watched the Investigation Discovery show called Death in the Bayou, Jennings 8. Every case was so intertwined because the town is so small, everyone knows everyone and so many in the town are related to or some other connection. It was a little confusing because of the various accusations, this person did it, these people were involved, various motives, reports and recanting of witnessing crimes and the stories having some similarities.
I probably should watch it again but articles covering the story gave me a better understanding. It will be interesting to hear about Showtime's take on the Jeff Davis 8.

I watched it again. It just shivers me that I knew some of them personally. Also know many of them that was talking. I frequent the cemeteries that some are buried. I stop by, say hi and a prayer that they may rest in peace, and ultimately the answers come to light one day.
Frankie....Frankie was a badass in the day. He may/may not be connected. I am the type that won't point fingers. But I will say this. Maybe someone has been done wrong by him, scorned, has a score to settle. What better way to settle a score to put blame on someone? Even knowing his history of the way he did things.
I'm always looking from the outside in. Kinda like a glass half full type.
I will say this... read the book. The book has a lot more information. The shows only offered some. And when you read it, do your own outlines. Names. Then go back and watch the series again.
