Here is a list of major crimes committed in the United States in 2016. Please tell me if I missed anything important.
January 2-February 11: An armed militia seized the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge near Burns, Oregon. 26 were arrested. January 7: A man attempts to execute a police officer in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The FBI is investigating this as a terrorist attack. January 30: 1 killed, 7 injured, during a shootout at the National Western Complex in Denver, Colorado. The shooting was between rival biker gangs. February 2: Six are killed in a knife attack at Gage Park in Chicago, Illinois. February 11: Four injured during a machete attack in Columbus, Ohio. The attacker was shot and killed by police. February 20: Six are killed during a mass shooting committed by an Uber driver in Kalamazoo, Michigan. February 25: 4 are killed, and 14 others injured, during a series of shootings in Newton, Kansas and Hesston, Kansas. February 29: Four students injured during a shooting at Madison High School in Middletown, Ohio. March 7-8: Five killed in Kansas City, Kansas and Montgomery County, Missouri over the span of two days. The perpetrator was an illegal immigrant. March 9: Six killed during a mass home shooting in Wilkinsburg, Pennsylvania. March 17-July 11: Seven killed, and two injured, during a span of shootings spread out over months in the Maryvale area of Phoenix, Arizona. To date, the suspect has not been apprehended. April 21-22: Eight people killed in a spree/mass murder in rural Pike County, Ohio. May 10: Three are killed in a stabbing attack at the Silver City Galleria in Taunton, Massachusetts. May 20: Jesse Olivieri opens fire at a White House Security Checkpoint in Washington, DC, injuring one guard. June 1: Three killed during an attack at UCLA in Los Angeles, California. June 10: Singer Christina Grimmie is shot and killed in Orlando, Florida. June 12: 50 killed, and 53 injured, during a mass shooting and terrorist attack at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Florida. June 14: A disgruntled employee is shot dead by SWAT after taking hostages at a Walmart in Amarillo, Texas. July 7-8: 5 police officers shot and killed, and 11 others injured, in Dallas, Texas. July 11: Three killed at the St. Joseph Courthouse in St. Joseph, Michigan. July 17: 3 police offices shot and killed, and 3 others injured, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. July 30: Three killed in a mass shooting during a house party in Mukilteo, Washington. August 13-15: Riots break out in Milwaukee, Wisconsin following an officer involved shooting. One person is killed, and around 10 injured. August 20: 6 people killed in a mass homicide in Citronelle, Alabama. September 8: Two injured, including a US Marshal, during a shooting at Alpine High School in Alpine, Texas. September 17: A bomb explodes in a trash can during a 5k run event in Seaside Park, New Jersey. No injuries were reported. September 17: A bomb explodes in the Chelsea area of New York City, New York, injuring 31. The explosion was linked to the earlier bombing in Seaside Park, New Jersey. September 17: One killed, and 10 injured in a mass stabbing at Crossroads Center in St. Cloud, Minnesota. September 19: A shootout takes place in Linden, New Jersey, injuring the perpetrator and 3 police officers. The suspect caught carried out the NYC and Seaside Park bombings on September 17. September 23: 5 people are killed during a rampage at the Cascade Mall in Burlington, Washington. September 28: Two killed, three injured, during an attack at the Townville Elementary School in Townville, South Carolina. October 14: FBI arrests three men in connection to a bombing plot on a Muslim community in Garden City, Kansas. October 25: One is killed during a shooting at the Freightcar America Building in Roanoke, Virginia. November 2: 2 police officers are shot and killed ambush style in Des Moines, Iowa. November 2: Sherri Papini is abducted near her home in Redding, California. Papini was found along Interstate 5 in rural Yolo County, California, three weeks later on November 24. She was branded and still in restraints. November 9-12: Riots break out in Oakland, California following the election of President-elect Donald Trump. 3 are injured, and 30 are arrested. November 10-12: Riots break out in Portland, Oregon following the election of President-elect Donald Trump. 4 are injured, and 113 are arrested. November 20: Benjamin Marconi, a detective, is shot and killed in his patrol car in San Antonio, Texas. November 22: Collin Rose, a police officer, is shot and killed in Detroit, Michigan. November 28: 13 injured during a mass stabbing at the Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. The attacker was killed, and the shooting is being treated as a terrorist attack.
