It was just about dusk when I went to check the mail and take my neighbors mail up to her house. As I was walking up the driveway, I saw movement and it was a deer. I watched her for a minute, and she wandered off. I decided to see if I could figure where she went, so after dropping off the mail, I went back down the driveway, then down to the corner to see if they had gone down to the street. No luck, so I headed home. As I was walking up my driveway, I was treated to a five minute close encounter with five deer just off my driveway. One was very bold and crossed the driveway just 20 feet or so in front of me, spent a little time on the other side and then crossed back. It was dusk and all I had was my phone camera, so I apologize for the "black and white" coloration and the video quality, but I still think it is worth posting for your viewing pleasure. What was really cool is that when I decided to head on up to the house, none of the deer moved! They watched me as I slipped by on the far side of the driveway. Everyone was happy! They continued to graze and I got my video to share with you! I swear, if I did not have video proof, I think a lot of folks would not believe I really do have all the wildlife encounters I do.
