I want to live somewhere where it's easy for me to get a job with a BA and fluent Spanish (years experience in HR, teaching ESL, coordinating etc), where I will sweat for at least a few months out of the year, where I can get around well with just a bike or the bus, where men are men (oh i had to), where people are happy and hospitable and where there are swimming holes that I can get to without driving.

Can you think of anywhere?

Thanks!!!

I think so, but I can't speak for the men (I never go out), and don't know what you mean by a swimming hole. The traditioanl ones are dry in the early summer, but there are community pools if that's what you mean.

The Spanish, the weather, etc. all up your alley.

Not sure how far you plan to pedal, but as far as your "swimmimg holes" request goes, I would suggest Sabino Canyon area where you'll usually find water right where the dam is, and at Seven Falls, and where many other little creeks are. The snow melt will continue to happen for quite a while. Go and dive in!
