Eeeww, it sounds like the stinky tripe soup (with garlic no less ) some men eat back home. They also swear by it as a hangover remedy. Just picture the combination of overnight alcohol breath + the addition of the tripe and garlic stench in the morning! Just can't think of too many things lovelier than that...

Haven't had really savory menudo in a cow's age... but there used to be a wonderful place known as La Suprema at the corner of 22nd St and 4th Ave (which also sold excellent tortillas!), right next to Los Cazadores Mexican Restaurant...

Back then... back when...
