8 episodes, I'm assuming with subtitles. Takes place in 83 so just pre wall coming down, about a Stasi mole in West Berlin. I'm going to DVR it.
Its a good article, interesting perspectives.

Thanks for that heads up. I wouldn't have known otherwise. I checked the TitanTV sched but doesn't show a viewing on the 14th. It shows the 17th. Was it on somewhere secret?

No and it didn't show up on my DVR when I thought it would, but will tonight, late late. Not sure what happened.

Well I watched half of the first episode. I think I could like it if I wasn't having trouble with the closed captioning subtitles.
I don't mind subtitles and actually I like trying to pick out the odd word from ancient german class. But the subtitles are white and they keep getting lost on light colored background and its making it hard. I can't seem to find away to change the color or make it better. Seriously going to impact my watching.

I had the same problem. I watched the first 3 episodes in a row yesterday On Demand. I like the show but like you say, it's hard to read the subtitles. I have an old TV, though. I have trouble on Election night, reading the changing voting numbers at the bottom of the screen so I thought it was my problem.

I hope you guys kept up with Deutschland 83. I thoroughly enjoyed the whole series. It's best when binge watched so you don't lose track of the faces and characters and their relationships.

The rumor is that it will be followed up with Deutschland 86 and Deutschland 89 to cover more pivotal years of the 80s for Germany.
