I don't mean to sound negative, but I am not really interested in any more new Food Network shows.
I might be more interested if they would do a better job of pacing the launch of new programming.
Country superstar and cookbook author Trisha Yearwood will star in a new daytime series on Food Network titled Trisha's Southern Kitchen launching April 14 at 1030a. Shot in Nashville, the six-episode series goes inside Yearwood's kitchen as she cooks her favorite meals and shares stories and visits from friends and family. The series is from Ellen Rakieten Entertainment and RelativityREAL.
I'm just sick of all the silly contest/reality shows. Iron Chef America is one thing — at least I learn something. But all those programs designed merely to create drama, not so much. I tune into Food Network for education, not to watch people flip out. If Yearwood knows how to cook and demonstrates it, I would watch, but I'm not really interested in her personal life.
