Sean Hayes' new sitcom starts tonight. It's up against Robin Williams' new sitcom, which I'd probably watch except that Two and a Half Men comes on right after it, and I can't even stand to hear that theme song anymore.

I saw Sean Hayes on Letterman earlier this week, doing a roast of Letterman that was hilarious. If his sitcom is this funny it'll be worth watching.

I don't think broadcast shows really compete against one another today. They count DVR viewings for up to 7 days, and I think the really the competition is to get people to watch broadcast period.

In the old old days when there were three networks and no other inexpensive video distractions, then shows would compete against each other.

It was alright, it had a few funny lines. I wonder if SEan is doing parallels with his real life.
Also he had on to much stage makeup or a botox injection.

It seems premise not really on him but his fuzzy parents. Same thing with 'The Millers'
Maybe because I grew up in single parent household I dont get the humor and I thought Sean mom was little crude.

I was expecting more of 'Just Jack'

I watched the Sean sitcom tonight and I agree with SunnyKayak - it had some laughs. First shows are always tough because they have to introduce all characters and general plot. This one has potential although the cynical parent role is a tired one. Almost all the shows have one.

Old people being crude seems to be another theme. Linda Lavin on Sean - though she wasn't nearly as crude as the mother on The Millers. I was out of the room, just waiting for it to be over, but listening, I heard her trying to pick up guys telling them she couldn't get pregnant anymore. And I heard the convo she and hubby had (in front of their son) about seks in the shower. Ick! Especially in front of their son! Kids don't wanna hear that stuff, no matter how old they are.

NBC has canceled production.

It was horrible written show I watch maybe two episodes since I posted last and the show wasnt funny at all. Big disappointment from Sean he was two serious on this show, horrible co stars and he should have done Just Jack character.

I'm surprised it lasted this long … I got a few chuckles though.
