"Crossbones" premieres this Friday on NBC. I could have sworn that last week the title of this show was "Blackbeard" - but whatever.
It is about the famous pirate. Does this sound like something that you will have any interest in?

I'll check it out.
It's kind of an odd idea for a show though. But who knows? Could be a hit. John Malkovich is no slacker.

Arrrrgghhh.
(had to do it )

Im on the fence about this one. It's a cool idea, but Im not sure it can be effectively pulled off on network tv.

I'll check out the first episode anyway. I'm skeptical that NBC can pull off a good pirate show, but who knows?

I don't get it -- Malkovich is Blackbeard. Looks NOTHING like a traditional Blackbeard. Is this him in retirement?

I think this show is playing very fast and loose with the history. I'm pretty sure Blackbeard was already dead by the time this story takes place.
