No I don't. I know people with masters degrees who watch soap operas and people with GEDs who watch a lot of PBS programs. What people choose for entertainment is whatever entertains them. I think it has little to do with education.
However, some people usually the ones with higher degrees, think that because they have a higher education they have to look down on certain shows deemed beneath their intelligence or education. It isn't really because of either of these things but rather because of their snobbishness.
I remember a long time ago when I was young, we were at the dinner table when my older brother (in graduate school at the time), jumped up from the table and said he had to watch something on TV. My brother was a certified genius with a photographic memory to boot. So I went to the den to see what TV show was so important. He was sitting, cross-legged, about five feet from the screen watching Rocky and Bullwinkle. So in my opinion, there's no correlation between IQ and what you might watch. BTW, I learned to love Rocky and Bullwinkle.

Oh, but Rocky And Bullwinkle was not a cartoon for children. It was very poltiical and topical. I know lots of adults watched it while the sophisticated humor flew over the heads of the children.
Most of the higher educated people I know are not wealthy. They watch a variety of TV programs from comedy to science. Me I is veri unedukated and probly is wellthier than all mi frends put together and i watch mosly PBS shows like Nova, Frontline, travel and even lawrence Welk. So there...
Degrees today are a dime a dozen, anyone can get one. The USA ranks 25th in educated people today.
I have a masters and I can't find much to watch on tv, but can ANYONE find anything good to watch anymore? Downton Abbey, Antiques Roadshow, the news. I also like Undercover Boss, where the CEO goes in disguise and works with the lower echelon people in his company to see what it's like. At the end the CEO always doles out money or help for the deserving people he's met and that's the part I really love.
I used to be addicted to The Bachelor but it started to have too many characters I didn't even like.
My husband has a high school education and he likes the same shows I do -- he even used to watch The Bachelor a little bit -- and he likes Rich Steves Europe and some of the do it yourself shows. We both love Create and Plum--whatever they are, they're part of our cheap, basic cable package.
