I dunno. I hope it's good, but I just really hate this cheap 3D computer animation. The aesthetic is cool though. You can tell they went back to the old 1970s McQuarrie art for inspiration.
I wouldnt call the animation cheap 3D. I am looking forward to this. The art is definitely Mcqaurrie inspiried which is great. Should be a pretty good show
Fair enough. I'm sure the animation is actually quite expensive, but in comparison to Pixar, all computer animation on TV looks cheap. Characters are stiff and move like the puppets from the old Thunderbirds TV show.
STAR WARS: Clone Wars had similar problems. I enjoyed a lot of the stories, but the animation really spoiled it. It was stiff and lacked any beauty.
I don't understand the fasciation with computer animation like this. If you're Disney/Pixar and can sink millions into it, it works. If not, it ends up looking bad, and far inferior to the old tradition 2D animation. So why not just go with 2D animation?
Don't forget that this show is actually Disney at this point. It will air on Disney XD. Not sure that means anything different but the House of Mouse owns and is developing this one so maybe it will surprise you

Disney's involvement is exactly what's making me nervous about this. The more I see in previews, the less interested I get. Disney seems to excel at making TV shows for kids while knowing nothing about kids.
Remember the scary bounty hunter in Empire Strikes Back who stands up to Vader and walks out the door with our captured hero? I know! Let's turn him into Kim Possible! Kim Possible - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This is Disney. THE biggest, richest, most experienced animation studio no the planet. Which is why I am amazed at how cheap this show looks. It looks like a fan film that someone did on their home PC.
