I have a number of TV series I use to watch in my childhood, such as The Baron (TV Series 1966 and Jason King (TV Series 1971 and so far, not only are they not as exciting as I recall, but also, rather boring. Why might that be?

Well, of course, I was a child back then and, with Jason King, it may have been the first adult show I was allowed to see. There was also the standpoint that living in on Luzon at Clark AFB, it was one of the few English shows around. Hence, it was among the best that we had.

But could it also be for all the sophistication they might have been showing then, such as what one might encounter on "Mission: Impossible" of that era, it's rather "ho-hum" now? With the toys we have now, we're spoiled to the old stuff?

Perhaps.........or perhaps not. For there are other productions from back then which still do stand the test of time, such as "The Saint: The Fiction Makers" , "The Jokers", "11 Harrowhouse", & "The Avengers".

Maybe the likes of Jason were great for the limited viewing world of back then but now compared to the other stuff, then and now, ................

....................they could just not stand up to the competition.

Thoughts?
