On the new TV series "The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story" OJs lead attorney, Robert Shapiro went and tried the gloves from evidence even though the defense was not invited to try it out. Furthermore, he tried the gloves without wearing the required latex undergloves.
For you all in the legal business could his actions lead to disbarment ( stripping of his lawyer title), or is that practice perfectly legal?
I'm watching the show, and I'm old enough to remember the trial on TV when it aired. I don't remember Shapiro trying on the gloves at all - I seriously doubt he did so. A lot of what's on the show is fiction. After all of the episodes air, I'm sure someone will come up with a list of what actually happened & what was made up for the shoe.
I never understood why they didn't make him pull the glove down lower. I wasn't alive during the O.J. Simpson case though do find the whole crime and trial as a very historical moment for our nation and a failure on the U.S. Justice system. What's good is that O.J. will probably die in prison which I guess is Karma for his actions back in 2008.

That... is the least important issue. Having O.J. try on the gloves in front of the jury in the first plae was one of the stupidest moments in American jurisprudence.
He's been up for parole several times. In Nevada, not California. Whole different justice system. He would have been much better off in a California prison than in that dump in Ely, or maybe it's another small town. I can't remember, but it's a dump. Prisoners die there all the time.
