"Med" may struggle. That is a rough timeslot and as much as I enjoy "Superstore" it isnt much of a lead-in along with freshman "The Good Place"

I hope it does well as I am a fan of all of the "Chicagos" but Thursday night isnt where you want your favorite show to land.

As to the Chicago series my rankings are
1. PD
2 Fire
3.Med
I concur. PD is my favorite by far. The revolving cast and musical positions turned me off of Fire compared to seasons 1 and even 2.

Med is a very, very, very distant third. I may rank the yet unseen Justice ahead of it, LOL.

You can't tell if their lives intertwine or not. Or at least I can't.
I'm guessing it is going to be similar to Life in Pieces, where the show is broken into segments focusing on different characters? Just a shot in the dark.

I thought it looked really good. I even set a reminder on my phone to set my DVR in the fall.

If I were NBC, I would have Chicago Justice leading into Chicago P.D. on Wednesday, and keep the tandem of Chicago Med and Chicago Fire intact on Tuesday.

It is artistic, sure. The series, though, is clearly aimed at being pretty much specifically what viewers bemoaning the loss of shows like Heartbeat, Mysteries of Laura, etc., are upset about losing - dramas that are specifically about interesting characters and their relationships.

that show timeless looks pretty good to me and it has Goran V from er on it as the bad guy . LOL . I think I will have to check that one out . The one with Ted Danson looks stupid .

Is Chicago Justice starting in January? It sounds like it might be a Chicago version of Law & Order and they might be spreading the Chicago thing a little thin.

And speaking of L&O ..... SVU is back for another season. I like the show but it's getting a little long in the tooth. I suspect this might be the end of the line.

I really dont like Chicago Med, so wherever they move it, I wont watch it. Nothing about it strikes me as good or particularly original--but to be fair, I didnt like Heartbeat, either.

The first two thoughts I had about Blindspot were 1) It is going to be airing away from the "protective cocoon" of the The Voice, and 2) It sometimes has a lot of shooting, bombs, etc for a show airing at 8p now. Now, I know the second thought really isnt that big a deal since it is a FBI-ish show. I guess it just seems like a drastic change in tone from Mysteries of Laura that used to air in that spot. However, isnt NBC 1 for 2 with moving shows from behind the Voice recently? (The Blacklist survived, Revolution did not.)

My impression is that shows that "belong" at 8pm don't do well at 10pm, and shows that "belong" at 10pm can do well at 8pm, 9pm or 10pm. That's one reason why family-friendly programming flagged.

Of course what really matters direct competition. There will always be competition, so what especially matters is direct competition for the same genre interest and target demographic. While it is true that Blindspot is going up against the new Lethal Weapon television series, I don't see them as comparable. Lethal Weapon is an action comedy. Blindspot is brooding on a sunny day.
