I was late to the game on Gilmore Girls, and I binge watched it last year for the first time. Loved it, but I'm mixed about the plan for a return. Those usually don't go so well. Also concerned about the wording "....the original series starred Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel...." Are they hinting that the updated episodes will not star these two characters, or am I reading too much into it?

I would think they would have to have them much older now and have rory have kids which means Lorelai would have grandkids. I don't think it would work

Lauren Bell is definitely old enough to have grandkids. Just not sure I see her as a "Grandma."

If Amy Sherman Palladino is writing, I'm excited.

If she is not writing, then I hope it doesn't happen. The last season or two of GG without ASP was a real let down.

Older? Sure. The show ended 8 years ago. But Rory doesn't have to have kids. Whether she does or not would not affect my interest in the story at all.

Lorelai's dad will be sorely missed, and I'll be more than a little surprised if Melissa McCarthy comes back, which would be a shame.

If Army Sherman Palladino agrees to come back, I really hope this happens. The last season of GG was a big disappointment. Time to do it right.
