Oh jeesh, I HATED Benny Hill. Gah, so awful! Just thinking about him gives me a headache. I wouldn't watch a full Benny Hill episode for anything less than . . . $750. (I was going to put $500, then thought about it and . . . nope. Had to up the stakes.)
I think it was the kind of show that men enjoy much more than women.
A friend who had spent time in England was a fan that tried to turn me on to BH back in the 80s. I tried to get into it, but after just watching a couple they all seemed to be the same. They didn't have closed captions at the time and it was difficult to understand some of the dialog much of the time because of the British accents.
OP, I thought you must be joking ... but I guess you're not.

Except it's not, well, funny. Honestly, I have a hard time seeing any humor in it ... it's just too stupid. (I don't find it offensive at all -- just stupid.)
Then again, I don't like the Three Stooges either, or really any form of slapstick comedy.

I guess I am the party pooper of this thread ...
No, I feel the same way about both the three stooges and Benny Hill. If you don't like slapstick chances are you won't like these shows.
