Wow...no further comments after the season had officially ended?
What were everyone's thoughts?
I think it slumped a bit in the middle, but ended strong... overall a great season! Still not my favorite (that would be "Asylum"), but definitely in the top few for me.
I do wish they'd focused a little more on the post-apocalyptic days/months, however, just for my own personal preferences. I love post-apocalyptic stories, and seeing how they survive after the *whatever caused it* major event.

I've heard rumors that Season 9 may pick up where this season left off, or take off from that tangent at least.

Need explanation of season 8 finale? A new anti-christ?
So I stopped watching AHS season 8 last year (just got busy). stopped around the time of the return to the murder house from season 1. I binged the remaining episodes the last couple days and they were great. However I'm confused on the ending. What clue was there that Timothy and Emily would give birth to the new anti-christ? At least with Michael Langdon it's somewhat explained. Or is it one of these things that get explained in the future if they ever revisit this story line? I'm just wondering if I missed something that earlier that would have given clues that if they ever got together, this would happen.

At the very beginning, both Emily and Tim were saved from the apocalypse because of their genetic material. Nothing was really clarified about that. Tim apparently did the DNA ancestral test which is how they have his DNA... I'm not so sure about her. The end shows us why their genetic material was important. Though I do wonder, if the Antichrist is already there in the flesh, why bother saving the 2 kids?
