So I'm about to embark on all this streaming stuff since I'm in between cutting the cord (so far I can still watch until the cable cuts off I assume any day now), then signing up for more streaming (have HBO Max, Curiosity Stream, FREE Peacock now).
The Roky Channel has a seemingly pretty good little amount too that's all free. I haven't started watwching any of this yet, but these 11 original show seem pretty good. I wish online there was a '+' symbol to add things to your watchlist like some other apps.
Die Hart
Murder House Flip
Most Dangerous Game
The Fugitive
#FreeRayshawn
Shape of Pasta
Muder Unboxed
Centerpiece (sometimes)
Barkitecture (sometimes maybe not every episode)
About Face (depending on who they're talking about)
The only thing I've ever found on there that was of interest to me are the recent mini-episodes of Reno911. But it's free, so there's no valid cause to complain. Besides, everyone has different tastes. I'm sure others find it to be a cornucopia of quality programming. I will say that I don't find the commercials to be excessive or intrusive.
I watched all of “Tiny House Hunting” and watched the first “Librarians” movie the other day.
Also have watched:
“Starsky and Hutch,”
“Midsomer Murders,”
“Single Handed,”
“The Dresden Files.”
I recently got a Roku stick from SIL. I am not a big TV watcher, I like my computer for YT videos, mail, games and CD.
I have discovered how to find a program or movie I want to watch. Just turn on Roku, go to Search, type in the name and it will show on the Right. Arrow over and click on it. It will then show what channel and if the program is Free. I only want Free shows. Most movies I want to see have a small charge.
When I click on the Free program it will auto download into my channel list if not already there.
I love the Roku Channel and Tubi. Some shows I have watched on them are:
Autopsy, with the British ME or the American ME (Dr. Michael Hunter). This is a show where the ME goes into the autopsy of a well known person and deciphers what lead up to their death by whatever reason. Very informative and entertaining.
Big Easy Motors-junk cars are found in unlikely places and brought back to original condition by the shop in New Orleans. Love it.
Car Hunters-a person wants and saves up for a cool car from their past. They check out 3 then choose the one that meets their criteria and wants.
If you are a Bible believing person then the first season of The Chosen is on Peacock. Wonderful show about the Gospels. Makes the Bible come to life.
I have watched some True Crime shows as well, and found Alfred Hitchcock Presents too.
I started watching ROKU in Jan - a lot of choices - mix of old and new movies, documentaries, horror movies, TV shows.
It's a great alternative to Cable TV (which is very expensive in NY).

Reason: spacing
Pluto is also free and the app is on most Roku sticks.
Lots of news channels. A Johnny Carson channel. The usual free movies.
Roku channel has the Yahoo Financial station (similar to CNBC) and it's decent.
I like the "NewsOn" app on Roku. (local news from almost anywhere in the nation)
