Kudos to Catchy TV network.

This weekend's binge was a marathon of the old Hal Roach classic "The Little Rascals" shows with Spanky, Alfalfa, Styme, Darla, Petey and the rest of the gang.

Haven't seen these shows since I was little, but they were sure fun to watch again.

Next weekend is the Three Stooges marathon.

Catch TV has been doing weekend marathons for several weeks. They did an Abbott and Costello weekend that was a lot of fun to see.

Laurel & Hardy was also great.

I'm not keen on Three Stooges. I'd rather have shows like The George Burns and Gracie Allen Show. Ot something that isn't on as much if at all.

That sounds awesome. I've never heard of Catch TV (gonna look them up). I've been able to find just about every Our Gang / Little Rascals episode on YouTube though. Just watched "Pups Is Pups" and "Free Wheelin'" a couple weeks ago on YouTube.

I remember being taken to the studio several times as a kid to be part of the audience for Officer Joe Bolton and The Clubhouse Gang, fun times!

I looked at their schedule and it only goes to the end of Oct. The last weekend, 28/29 is the Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour.

George Burns and Gracie Allen are on Antenna TV also.

I have often wondered if I would still like The Little Rascals if I saw it today. I assume I could find some of them on YouTube?

My step grandmother had a connection with Hal Roach.
I think they were neighbors and family friends.
Any way she used to be an extra on the show and did things like sit in the seats when they needed butts in the seats or where ever they needed a crowd of kids.
They used to ride to the locations in an old school bus she told me.
She said Mr. Roach was a nice guy.

They (she) later on moved next door to Charles Shultz.
Our family has a decent collections of his work some was even custom made for my step grandmother.

She was an amazing person that one.
She kept a loaded shotgun and a fishing pole ready to go in her Mustang convertible until she could no longer drive.
I now keep her shotgun for her.
To this day when I flick channels and the Rascals are on I look for her.

On a side note,
When I came to America as a young lad I learned to speak English by watching the Little Rascals and The Three Stooges.
We didn’t speak English in our house until I was well into grammar school.

Yeah, I watch George & Gracie on Antenna TV. I'd would like more shows similar to that were shown more often. Even if it was just a "Catchy Comedy" weekend binge.

I had forgotten how funny they were. I couldn't stop laughing when I saw Spanky and Alfalfa as ballerinas. They looked soooooooo cute.
