I have been fan of this sitcom since I was teenager, we had it on TV at week ends in the morning in Spain and I loved it, not a long time ago I was investigating in the net and I realized that too many episodes and seasons have been broadcasted, until Ruthie was a teenager.
This thread has 2 purposes:
- Let's talk about this serie, people who watched it and loved it. (or disliked it)
- How can I watch online episodes?? I try in some websites and I have to register... I don't realy on these websites, do anyone know?
I used to watch it and found it entertaining and refreshing because there was no violence or far fetched story lines. I haven't seen the last few seasons, though.
A little anecdote, since you are mentioning Ruthie. I was still in France when I saw this show, so it was dubbed in French, and it's only when I came here in the US that I learned that Ruthie was the character's name. For us, she was Rosie.
(FYI Ruthie sounds bad and weird in French, and might make some people think of something else. So Ruth and Ruthie are the kind of names that might be changed by translaters in the French version of a show/movie. Sometimes names are (I should say were) changed to sound more familiar to the public. For instance in the show Diff'rent Strokes, Kimberly became Virginia, and Willis became Willy )
I used to watch it at weekends in Ireland too. I believe it is still on one of the channels here, havent checked Netflix or anything to see if it was on there. Its good change of pace entertainment imho.
It's on some channel on the Direct Tv system. I've seen it as I was scrolling. I used to be a rabid fan but lost interest somehow. Ruthie had just become a teen when I stopped watching.
