Is there an apartment for rent (or a very small house) in a safe neighborhood of Tyler (or anywhere in Texas I guess) that is very close (e.g., 0.25 miles) to a decent (or better) gym? I'd like the monthly rent to be under $325 per month. I am looking for a regular fitness gym open to the public to go to. Some apartment complexes have gyms. In my experience, these tend to be much more expensive than an independent gym nearby. I am not familiar with Texas. I saw some listings on Craigslist that looked too good to be true (based on their price). The apartment need only be 200 square feet. I'd like the apartment to have air-conditioning.

As you can see, there are at least 18 gyms in Tyler. I doubt that this includes gyms at schools or churches (sometimes you can buy a membership to one of those without being a member or student).

You may want to look at garage apartments in the Azalea District (inside the loop) since you want very low rent and not a lot of space.

Good luck!
