But at the end of the day, only you would know what you can afford from your monthly $. Some folks have a very healthy pension, and living in an island would be no problem.
They all offer many things, and almost the same attractions can be found in them. What are your interests, hobbies, and etc? Do you like a beach front, city living or country style living?
There are more than a few threads on this forum specifically on the subject of retirement living in PR and the territories and you may want to read through them as they'll give you a very comprehensive overlook. There's nothing "cheap" about living here; the weather is virtually the same in all the territories; there's very little in the way of "city living" as you may know it (except for San Juan PR); and "most to offer" depends entirely on your own wants and needs.
