If my information is correct, within 60 more weeks - 11.7 million people will be 99ers. This number of people without any ability to help spend America back to prosperity will become a drain on their friends and families resulting in further cuts in spending our economy needs to get back to normal.
PEOPLE THE SOVIET UNION WENT BANKRUPT!!! At some point the downward turn will become irreversible. People will survive by theft and violence. America is financially at the breaking point. Even the most secure of those currently employed will be laid off from their jobs. Those of you that doubt this must have brains of cotton candy to not remember the lay offs around the country that were announced in the tens of thousands of people at a time by CORPORATE AMERICA.
Corporations are responsible for this mess. Make a tax on each corporation that laid an individual off equal to three times what that employee draws until that employee gets a new job. Put the cost of unemployment where it is deserved. If Congress would do this --- see how fast each one of these NOW cash rich companies rehire all of their laid off workers.

Wait! Better yet, why don't we just ABOLISH all those evil corporations. We could be just like Cuba, only without all the great beaches!

Spend America back into prosperity?

Why not just propose putting everyone on unemployment and the government give everyone $1000 a week and we can all go shopping all day, no job to get in the way.

Spending is putting us into debt. It's time to stop the big spending with money that doesn't exist.

Lets do the math, UB VS Welfare benefits.

UB BENEFITS - 1 employee @$250/week = $1000 per month

WELFARE BENEFITS - Cash assistance @$800/month
Food Stamps @$500/month
WIC @ $200/month
Medicaid @$1000/month

Total: $2500/month

Both are going to add to the deficit, I like the UB benefit scenario.

99 weeks, 2 years, and you still can't find a job to support your lifestyle? How is that the taxpayers' faults who are supporting you?

I'm sorry, but it's time to either cut your lifestyle very drastically or find another field of employment.

2 years is rediculous.
