I just received my next continued claim form. I just got done claiming weeks 24 and 25 so this new continued claim form is only allowing one week (week 26) and the second week is all x'ed out. I should be able to move to Tier 1 (20 weeks) since the extention is out to November. By the sounds of it, EDD CA does this automatically and I would therefor be able to start collection on Tier 1 and be able to finish it.

I have not received anything from EDD CA as of yet. Is the extension to Tier 1 done after I claim my 26th week? I hope the payment for the first week of Tier 1 is not too far behind my last week (26th). Too many bills to be paid. Should I call and ask them?

Thanks for any help you can offer.

Lots of CA people on this board. As I recall, there is no gap in payments. CA automatically transitions you to Tier 1. Keep claiming.

I got mine on Saturday. I have $114 left, and I claimed my $55 that I made the first week, and the second week was XXed out. I filled it out, made a copy of it, and mailed it from the post office the same day. I guess I'll get the last of it ($59), and after that I'll get my extension.
