Is she eligible for the next 20 weeks, (tier 2) or does the 11/28 deadline apply to her as well?

She needs to have exhausted her state benefits of 26 weeks on November 20th to be eligible to move to Tier 1 (20 weeks) on November 21st. Other 3 tiers require she exhaust her benefit from that tier no later than November 27th in order to be eligible to move to the next tier on November 28th.

Since she began her claim May 10th, assuming she has been claiming and receiving the full benefit every week, she should already be on Tier 1 as of November 7th and will be able to collect 20 weeks of that.

FYI - Tiers are as follows:
Tier I - up to 20 weeis
Tier II - up to 14 weeks
Tier III - up to 13 weeks
Tier IV - up to 6 weeks

Thanks for the info, Ariadne22. I think I started filing on May 16th, (I was laid off on May 3rd but had to hold off a week due to my employer's paperwork). When I signed in for my benefits on Sunday, 11/21, I received only a check for $100 that week. I called to ask why I didn't receive the full amount of $405 and was told by the rep that it was the 'leftover' balance in my 26-week account from when I first filed. I filed again this past Sunday, 11/28, and am hoping it will kick in for tier 1 but wasn't sure. The UI calculator said I am eligible for up to 46 weeks total. Thanks again.
