QUOTE- from MaryW -
I was laid off in Feb.2009. But was called back to work September 2009 and worked till March 2010. When my year anniversary came up in Feb 2010 I made enough to open a new claim. And actually was making more due to the 18month I was given more hrs and raises so that brought my rate up.So now my yearly anniversary again came up on Feb 6 2011, I again was called back to work September 2010 through Feb 28 2011. My rate on my first claim in 2009 was 245.00 in 2010 it went to 306.00. Now my new claim they opened this anniversary is for 220.00. When I mentioned HR4213, they fully understood what I was talking about but said I was not eligible because they are going off my original claim in 2009 and the HR4213 was not in effect. I asked her though since last year; Feb 2010 I was put on a new claim wouldn't they use that? One person said yes, one person said no. I have to go to the reemployment center tomorrow and I am not sure which call center person I spoke to was right. Any thoughts would truly be appreciated. Thank you
Hi just wanted to share after I posted the above yesterday.
I went to the NJ unemployment office today, asked about HR4213. The woman had no idea what I was talking about, she knew it as defer program.
I asked since I was making less then my original claim by 28% if I was able to go back to my 2010 claim since I had only used one week of Tier 1-before being called back to work. She said it had nothing to do with a Parent Claim in 2009-and never heard of this, but she only goes by dollar amounts and her dollar amounts are $105.00-$106.00 less in a new claim. When I again told her about the 25% or more less in the new claim, again she said she did not deal in percentages. And she is the claims manager of this office. So no I did not get the HR4213. So it seems to me everyone is just interpeting HR4213 different. So that makes three different answers in NJ. 2 different from the call center and another different interpretation with the unemployment center. So sorry, wish I could have been of more help to others with this issue.
Kinda sounds like N.J. unemployment needs to Hire some of the long out of work people who know more about the job than the people getting payed to know their job.
