Geez, just got an interview for a position for which I'm severely under-qualified -- according to the ad, anyway...but having worked in those roles before, I just applied anyway. And lo and behold! I got a call back only three hours later from the H.R. Department!!

What the hell...oh why oh why do they do this...it's enough to make you cynical, you know?? Now I gotta apply no matter what, spam the bastards since obviously even they don't take themselves seriously (though they also do take themselves seriously, given the crazy official requirements)...is this what it really comes down to? Just lying your ass off??

I personally know two people who lied their asses off to $90K jobs but I figured it was all a bit of a fluke...guess not....

Sigh -- hope it works out though I really hope I hear back and get (and keep!) the job I really want, which I'd applied for afterwards....

If you're really homeless (or close to it) as your user name suggests then I would certainly agree with RedEyeJedi...

Ignore the imposter syndrome and just focus on survival...Just try not to get caught in the lie.

LOL thanks went to the interview and turned out they were okay with me not meeting some of the requirements LOL but got shot down when I got on the boss' bad side with an innocent remark -- I passed all the technical tests they gave me (how to use Magento 2, to do certain things in it; turns out they didn't really know themselves Jesus)...but then the boss got "philosophical" and started talking weird **** about how my work experience suggests I don't have fashion industry know-how (the ad didn't say anything about that being a requirement) and when I said don't worry about it because and before I could finish he got mad and just said no you know what thank you and that was it...I should've taken my resume back but he insisted on keeping it just in case?!?!

Anyway a damned waste of time. I hope Andrew Yang will be President in 2020 (2021 technically) so that we all get our Freedom Dividends of $1K/MO for life (probably in 2022 or 2023) so job-hunting wouldn't be such a drag even when it drags!!

I was homeless but am close to it again.

I'd rather not pretend but it looks like I literally have to.

Thanks for the encouragement!
