There's a summary part way down, along with two long sections of transcription, as well as two audio recordings. Now, this could be a well-thought out hoax. It could be that by getting high his subconscience is just speaking uninhibited, reflecting what he truly believes or wishes were true. It could be that he is mentally ill. Maybe it's just a grand hallucination. Or it could be that it's valid. Ayahuasca (though not what these guys took) is claimed by many to open one's self to 'other worlds', spiritual or otherwise. Some claim that drugs induce altered perceptions, or some religions even claim it opens doors to possession, demon or otherwise.
In full disclosure, I'm an agnostic atheist, a disbeliever of all things para- or supernatural.
However, I found some of what he wrote/said to be quite profound. Enough so that I read through and listened to the whole thing. He goes into some science and math, tries to tie it into a spiritual realm, brings up reincarnation, Jesus and Christianity, and really hits hard on humans being their own worst enemy, able to ruin themselves by fear. All in all, it sounded very 'new age' to me. Then he goes into some crazy stuff the person he supposedly is speaking through is interested in and what his dreams are. Even mentions the occupy movement (apparently this was recorded back when it was bigger). But yet, still intriguing and sprinkled with some very interesting concepts.
I think it's a scripted hoax, a well-written one. There were some inconsistencies, and he pauses a bit much, like he's having to think about his next work. Anway, it should make for interesting discussion in this subforum....
My first impression is spirit possession. Drugs can "open the door", and spirits can enter in. A third of all spirits are deceiving spirits and they lie.
I'm not so quick to say this is a hoax as it sounds more like just a simple moment of enlightenment using concepts that the experience-er is accustom to. IE, using the name of god as the message bringer.
The ideas presented are nothing new at all, some being very old but recently revived. It is likely that the 'channeler' (Conner was his name?) had already been given this information, or observered and came to his own conclusions, but subconsciously. The drugs being what they are, psychoactive, brought this information to the surface in a comprehensive manner.
It's as if he had all the puzzle pieces before the drug, and once under the influence was able to put the puzzle together.
Why would another guy who was high have a recorder in the first place and if he went to get one, it still doesn't make sense that he would have enough snap to think "hey, I should record this". I call hoax.
