I'm a Pisces, and have always said "I'm a typical Pisces".
There's a guy that I've been interested in for a few months that has been kind of an unsure thing as to whether he's interested in me or not. I just found out that he's a Cancer, which explains so much (I would venture to say, yes, he's a typical Cancer!). I stumbled upon this online, so I'm really wondering how much it could be true, because if it is, I sort of have more hope that he is interested, because it's spot on for how things have been with him:
"Attractions can be deceptive – you believe this and truly implement it in your life if you are a Cancerian. You will not approach any person that you are attracted to in any sort of way and try to move things forward. You keep yourself at a safe distance for a while and analyze the other person. You see if he/she is good enough for you, if things will actually move forward, whether you feel you really can start meaningful relationship with the other person or it’s just a temporary infatuation.
In doing so, if the person in question tries to approach you then you might even take evasive action. Once Cancerians have made up mind in favor of an approach, it will not be very difficult for them to make things happen, they are naturally talented for that. On the other hand, if Cancerians are the one being pursued (which obviously applies a lot more for women than for men), no matter of what kind the first approach is, the first reaction will be a defensive one. How smoothly you do this without letting the pursuer feel hurt depends on your skill."
I already feel more hopeful just knowing that he's a Cancer, because Cancer and Pisces are considered a terrific match.
Do you believe in astrological signs affecting relationships?
Nope. I have never believed in astrology, but at the same time I do not know what time I was born, and I think the inaccuracy I see in it could be attributed to that.
I did say that I didn't believe in it to a woman who does charts and she looked at me and said -- Well Leo's usually don't. They don't want to believe anyone but themselves control anything.
Your are a Pisces and he is a Cancer- both are water signs and the energy of those two are comparable. However, these signs are only your Sun signs.
There is a whole lot more to one's personality than just the Sun sign.
While two signs of the same element do 'get along', you may have a rising or a moon placement that 'conflicts' with his signs.
So, just on sun signs alone, one will not get an accurate picture of the ups and downs that a specific union would make.

That description doesn't fit ANY of the many Cancers I know.
Have you considered asking him if it fits him? At least give him a chance to defend himself. A lot of people would be put off by someone reading some so-called "typical" astrological description and presuming it applies to them.

I wouldn't dream of talking to a guy about astrological matches! lol I learned a lot of his personality traits first, and then found out his sign and started researching it. Only then did I realize that what I was reading fit him very well. It made a lot of things make sense.
