Is this to say that because a former or so called former skeptic is not a believer that is proof that he is right? If I post a former skeptic on UFOs who now helps others to find UFOs does that make him right? Not sure what your saying with that post.

Not necessarily. But it is interesting. When it comes to the paranormal, there are basically 3 types of people:

1.) Horatios. They have a set view of the world, a very narrow mind, and refuse to consider the reality of anything that does not match their view of the world. These folks think they are hard-minded realists. In fact, they believe in cant more than the most ardent fundamentalist.

2.) The gullible. They "want to believe" so badly that they believe anything. These folks keep Psychic Hotlines in business.

3.) The open-minded skeptics. These are people who are skeptical of any claims of the supernatural or unesplainted, but they're willing to admit that we don't know it all yet. There may be things in the universe that science simply hasn't documented yet. So they investigate. This psychiatrist seems to be one of those, which is admirable. I say "seems" because this one news story is the only thing I've ever heard of this guy. I like to confirm any story with at least 2 or 3 reliable sources before I believe it.

You're asking the wrong question. The question you should be asking is, "Is the former skeptic a reliable witness? What is his evidence?" If the answer to those questions are the right ones, then yeah, I'd be a long way down the road to admitting that he saw a UFO. What that UFO might be ... who knows? What's the evidence?

It's a story about exorcism, which certainly fits into "unexplained mysteries and paranormal." I intended nothing more than that in posting it.
