Can it now be confirmed they were all man made?

The people who created the first batches of them, generating a phenomenon, fessed up after some years. They were artists creating a new art form. It became popular. How else would they be made, if not by man? Why would they be supernatural? I think they're a brilliant invention. Landscape art, different art forms using natural formations, or altering the land to create art, has been a growing trend since the late 60's. Crop circles are but one iteration of that.

The circlemakers sure caused a huge stir with this. Some of the designs are amazing though.

Yeah, they get more complex as time goes on, and I've noticed they sometimes follow current trends in art or design. Kind of cool to follow their evolution.

Crop circles always remind me of the earthworks of Andy Goldsworthy, one of my favorite artists:

Andy Goldsworthy Digital Catalogue: 1986_027A

There's one of his works, a cairn of stones, on the banks of the DuPage river somewhere near here, but I've yet to find it.

The attention seekers' work is crude, and looks manmade. The real stuff is reported to have strange energies, and intricately laid down and braided grasses, with the bending seared in.

Yes- some of the designs are quite complex and would be very difficult to create with such perfection in just one evening under the cover of darkness.

Why they ever got attributed to 'aliens' in the first place never made sense to begin with. There are some real gullible people out there. Of course they are man made.

A couple of British chuckleheads got on a TV talk show a few years ago by claiming to make them with planks of plywood. Crop circles have been around for at least decades before. One can see that the few manmade ones look different.

Gullibility works both ways. It is not only the people who believe the woo stories who could be the gullible ones, but also the ones who believe the opposite side of the argument. We are yet to find out who is correct, but there are aspects of the phenomena which are difficult to explain. Some people have seen lights above the field before the design is made.
