hello i have a question about paranormal activity i live in a apartment building my ex-neighbor downstairs abused his son terribly and they were always fighting. the father has since passed and at night time you can still hear the old man and his LIVING son argue. what is a phenomena like this called? ( the son no longer lives there also)
There is different kinds of hauntings. Sometimes it's an apparition of a dead person, or voices and sounds, or even objects moving or getting put somewhere else.

i am not sure exactly what is happening. and i am NOT a professional at all about this. i just watch a lot of shows.
if the man is a ghost, then they can ask him to leave and go to the light. try to convince him it's time to go and that it is safe.
if it's residual, i am not sure there is much you can do.
if these two spirits are manifesting themselves through sound...there really isnt much you can do. the feelings and energy they had imprinted itself on the surrounding area. Even if the child who has now drown and is alive, the traumatic events imprinted itself of him at that age there.
Tell your neighbors to burn white sage smudge sticks around their apartment.
