I'm not British, but I'm pretty sure they call themselves true or die-hard sports fans!

No. To my knowledge, only three people in the UK refer to themselves as die-hard sports fans, and they are all vegetarian.

85% of the people i know are die-hard sport fans, most have season tickets for their local team, spend £50 on the new team shirt every season, and after my local team went in to administration, the supporters (supporters as in people who actually go to games) dug in their pockets and helped save the club, and a good portion of the local support live 'under the breadline'. thats die-hard sport fans! people who support their team through thick and thin, for the love of the team, not people who claim to be fans and go to 2/3 games a season (theres is exceptions i know eg living far away, personal circumstances etc) but you do get a lot of 'armchair fans'. i don't care what people say, and they can call footie fans hooligans and beer bellied slobs or whatever, but i think britain has a great and a bit unique type of fan especially in football, who do what it says on the tin, support their team!

Sorry, yes, I realised that, and my suggestion that mustard and brown sauce were also vegetables was supposed to be in a similar vein (similar jokes exist here, in the form of people claiming to have eaten their 'five-a-day' by consumer potato crisps).

Brown sauce is, afaik, made from a mixture of vinegar, molasses, and spices.
