MP pay rises at a time of austerity (salary, living)

Are these people for real? A 10% pay rise while wages are being frozen year on year! We are all in this together Cameron says!
If, like me, you disagree please sign this petition. If it gets 100,000 signitures they will have to debate it in parliament, there are 50,000 signitures so far.
I saw on the news it was actually 11%. I find it unbelievable and exceptionally poor leadership for them to even consider this. I think they're already overpaid.
Their pay should be increased to similar representatives in other countries (with no expenses) then increased in line with wage increases of the rest of us. As I understand it, this is an independent review and they have no choice but to accept it. My local MP is exceptionally hardworking.
Their pay raises should be given to the Nurses, Police, Firemen and Armed Forces who have had their pay raises frozen. Lets face it all of the aforementioned actually WORK for a living to deserve a raise !
Soldiers killing themselves because they are traumatised who are payed peanuts and greedy MP's who have more than enough money? Yeah I know who I want to give a pay rise.

I do not think this rise is appropriate.
The salary increase would be £4.3 million per annum.
That is not going to go far among all those mentioned above.
