Would you consider them mostly Irish, Scottish, or English? Or are they a distinct ethnicity of their own, a bit like the Swedish-speaking Finns?

The Plantations of Ireland, and in particular the Plantation of Ulster in the 17th century, introduced great numbers of Scottish, English as well as French Huguenots as colonists.
