Hasn’t the reigning house thus shifted from Windsor to Glucksburg or Oldenburg? If so, why isn’t that noticed? Changes before are always part of history books.

King George changed the name to Windsor during the WWI era because it was a politically astute move to show whose side he was on and that he had no sympathies with Germany. The name is unlikely to change again in your lifetime or your grandchildren's lifetimes.
