After almost a year here in the beautiful Uk, we are beginning the process of moving home in August. I know this may sound like a silly question, but is there anything legally we need to do to move back home??? It seemed like there was so much to do to get us here to the UK, I am wondering if I am missing something to get us home. It seems too easy (call moving co, arrange school for kids, we still have our USA home) I know all of the stuff for the moving company etc, but I mean stuff like notify immigration, etc?? If there are any other ex-pats out there in the same situation as us, I would be so grateful for your feedback!
Just check you have all your medical records (especially for jabs etc) ready for the kids' schools, they can be a bit funny about that (speaking from experience!).

Oh, right. I'll set up appointments for jabs, etc. for August straight away. Thanks for the reminder.
Hi, I'm in a very similar situation. We've been in the UK almost two years and are returning back to the States in July. One thing you'll need to submit is a P85(S) in regard to your UK taxes.
