It seems that he got the last laugh. Instead of a film studio they're getting low-income housing.

Good on him! It's about time those prissy, insular, stuck-up wine sippers got a taste of the real world.

But what is "low income" over there anyway? 110K a year?

Not quite. 88k is the cutoff for housing assistance. But the median income is 89k, suggesting many can't afford a home.

There's a similar area closer to home. The "inner suburb county" of Long Island — Nassau has a median home price slightly higher than Marin. Housing price change in Nassau was very minor in the last 5 years while Marin took a large hit.

do you gulp your wine? I don't live in Marin, but its stupid to gulp decent wine, and its not worth the calories to drink bad wine.
