I was reading the other thread about differences between Toronto and Vancouver but seems like it was hijacked by off topic discussion
I am new to Vancouver (came here for personal reasons) been working in the US before in IT and working in IT at the moment here in Vancouver, so the question is: how big IT industry is in Vancouver lets say comparing to Toronto area?? to be honest rates for contractors are pretty low what I been hearing and what I make now is not the best I have seen. Looking at various job sites I do not see that many job postings at least in my field which would be database dev, BI etc
What are your thoughts?
