Hello Everyone,

We are planning to spend Thanksgiving in Vermont again this year. We stayed and ate Thanksgiving Dinner at the Green Mountain Inn in 2008. We loved everything about it. This year we are staying at Smugglers Notch and were wondering if anyone knows of other restaurants that they would recommend for Thanksgiving Dinner. We realize that going to Stowe will be a good drive at that time of year and we're ok with that.

So if anyone knows if a restaurant is open or leave a past experience let us know.

Thanks.

Stowe has the most restaurants in the area; maybe they could suggest something. 1800 24STOWE.

Topnotch Resort and Spa, the Stoweflake Resort and Spa and Trapp Family Lodge all offer price-fix Thanksgiving dinners. They are usually served buffet style.

Check out the Stowe Reporter, StoweToday.com - We know Stowe. Events, arts, music and more. > Front, in the weeks leading up to the holiday. It will include menus and prices. Topnotch gets high ratings for its restaurant so the Thanksgiving meal is probably very good. And Trapps is a very romantic place with great views.

Check out the Inn at Essex (or The Essex as I think it is now called). I'd be willing to bet they do a Thanksgiving Dinner and the drive is an easy one.

Waybury Inn East Middlebury still does them I think, you can even get a take-out meal. Did that one year when DH and I had had the flu.
