Don't feel too bad. I have a habit of buying, collecting, selling and even building motorcycles, which becomes costly. My wife getting miffed at times is an understatment. I currently only have two but have had as many as seven at one time. I think I'm going to build a new one over the winter. It really is my only hobby. (Okay, that and collecting watches). On the plus side I don't gamble, smoke, hang out in bars or womanize so in my mind if that's the worst of it I'm O.K. By the way my hobbies have never interfered with my family life for which my wife is grateful.

Actually the ps3 is backwards compatible which means you can play both ps1 and ps2 games on it. For more info check http://www.us.playstation.com/PS3/About

I just peeked in at ebay. The current highest bid out there is just over $3000 (and there are 2 at that price!) and there are several more for over $2000. This just BLOWS MY MIND!

I don't get why someone would pay that much, just to have it "now". You really can't wait a month?
I remember the whole tickle me elmo thing. Sad.
Now you can get one on ebay for $10.

I have better things to do with $600 then to 'invest' it in a PS3.

That reminds me of when I worked at Target. My job was to come in at 3:00 am and stock shoes. I was going on break right before the store opened. This display had tickle me elmo. I thought those are cute and I grabbed one and put it on hold . When I came back from break all of them were gone. I had no clue what a hit they were going to be. (I didn't sale mine). I gave it to my son for Christmas.
