Welcome to Telltale Games

Has anyone anyone played this series? It's a "choose your response" type of game. (I'm sure there is another term for it that I can't think of at the moment.) Basically most of your choices affect the game and the future in some way. I believe the story is pretty independent of the TV show. Same situation zombie apocalypse, maybe the same setting? But the story is basically told from the eyes of a little girl.

Anyway currently it's episode 2 of Season 2 was released last month. (There are 5 episodes in a season, they release a new episode every 2-4 months. I'm assuming one season a year.) It may take a hour or so to through the episodes, but there is a lot of replayability involved. You may run through an episode and then wonder "what would happen if I helped saved that guy." Every episode continues the story, it's something to do while waiting.

I started playing this game on its first episode of the second season, in which I promptly bought the first season to catch up on the story.(which trust me will get you hooked enough to buy the second season. It provides a good introduction to season 2, and gives the history behind the characters, etc.)

It's well written and has great graphics, there are some really "wtf" scenes, depressing scenes, some comical scenes, cute scenes.
Some of the choices that you are presented with are pretty tough up.

I am blown away and hooked. I recommend if anyone wants to kill time, or is a walking dead fan this is a must play. The games have a huge fan following, fans are always finding something different.

This game is Available for the
PC
Mac
IOS..(Ipad, Ipod, maybe iphone)?
Downloadable from Xbox live.
Android.. The first season was just released a little while ago, but that is not up to date.

I believe it's rated M, so probably not for younger kids.

Yeah I played the first season. I will get the second season once I whittle down my current games. Excellent game. It's not action/adventure, it's not a shooter. I tells an interactive story, and it pulls you in like very few other games.
The show seems to follow the cartoon, and some characters from the cartoon/TV show appear - they visit Herchell's farm in the first season.
You didn't mention PS3, it's available there in the PSN store.

I like it mostly for the story told especially the ending of Season 1. The choices in Season 1 affect the dialogue in Season 2 so you should finish through Season 1 before playing Season 2. You don't have to be a fan of the series to enjoy it as I couldn't care less about the TV show and never read the comics.

I would recommend Telltale's Walking Dead series to people as well. The only negative is that game ends up with basically the same conclusion regardless of the choices you make. The story being so well-written allows me to ignore that flaw.

yep, I have noticed that in the current episode you can save at least 2 of the characters based on your choices. (Alvin and I believe Nick).

I think future episodes, the player will have a bigger impact.

Yea, I think it's more the illusion of choice.

But even with that negative, it's a very enjoyable game with some great characters. I've played the first season and will wait until the complete second season is available before buy it.

The other negative is that controls are clunky and you're unable to invert the Y axis. It took me a very long time to get used to that. But still, this isn't an action game, so it doesn't ruin it.

It's a pretty good game. Good story line and Telltale seems to end the episodes and seasons with a cliff-hanger. The first season mostly centered around Lee, and Clementine in the second season. The toughest scene in it was when Clementine was in the shed and had to stitch up her own arm. Ouch!

This game is incredible. Much better than the TV show imo.
