I fell asleep because it was the most boring video game I have ever played.
Are you sure ? The single most boring video game you ever played ?
I on the other hand enjoyed the atmosphere very much, and this contrast between action packed chases and missions and the very calm almost idyllic atmosphere of some parts of the world. I loved riding my horse around, simply enjoying the world. And honestly, the first time a mountain cat attacked and killed my horse, it was one of the most memorable moments in gaming for me. Don't know why really, it just felt so .. well, real.

Yes, I am quite sure it's the most boring damn game on the planet.

I agreed. I really immersed myself in the world. I would sometimes play poker in saloons for an hour at a time as well. I really enjoyed that game and look forward to the next installment. I also enjoyed the first game, Red Dead Redemption, although it was much different from its successor.
I spent so much time just wandering around, exploring places, hunting (though the skinning animation got very annoying after awhile). Part of it I think is because I love the southwest desert landscapes and the first game did such a great job recreating it. But I also loved all the things you would come across while traveling the countryside.

I find that whether it's a game, a movie or music - things that everybody likes are rarely good enough to get a cult following. Things that at least to some extent polarize the audience, that you can either say you loved it or hated it and you won't say "meh, it was all right I guess" - these are the best ones.
Whatever floats your boat man, there are plenty of great and popular games I can't stand for one reason or another. I don't feel bad about it, neither should you (just sayin' before people start the usual "your opinion is different from my opinion, therefore you suck" :P)
Yac.
Cool i wonder if the story is a continuation of where we left of on in red dead redemption or its a new story with new characters. The trailer didn't show much so its hard to have a good idea of that.

Rumor for a while has been that it's going to be a prequel but as you said, the trailer doesn't give a whole lot away.
