My husband, our 4 year old son and I will be moving to DC area, he will be working as a civilian @ the Andrews AFB .I would really like to know what cities are nice, close commutes and reasonably priced.... [/SIZE]

I will be a stay at home mom so nice neighborhoods i can take my son for walks would be great

youre not going to find "reasonably priced" areas close enough for a quick commute to dc

Nice - Annapolis, Bethesda. Very $$$$$ and a nasty commute.
Close commute - Anacostia, Oxen Hill, Suitland. Reasonably priced. Nice? Uhh....
Reasonably priced - start looking around Waldorf, Brandywine, and Upper Marlborough etc. Neighborhoods can be hit or miss. Commute can be kind of hairy.
