Hi, we are two young men 23 & 28 looking to move into the Norfolk area for our jobs. We can afford around 2500 a month, and are wanting something beach side and close to nightlife and good food. Also, within 20 or so minutes from Harbor Park where the norfolk tide play. Alot, of stipulations there, I know, but for 2500 we should be able to find something. If anyone could point me in the right direction or have any suggestions on complexes at all please help!

For 2.5k you have a lot of choices in the area. The south end of the Virginia Beach Oceanfront (23451) would meet all your needs, especially if you lived near 22nd St (I-264 terminus). 2k will get you a 2BR apartment at The Summer House Apartments, a 2-year-old complex that's a block and a half away from the beach (3BR apartments there start at around 2500). Or, you could rent a small house in that same area.

Alternatively, there are the beach areas along the Chesapeake Bay, like Chic's Beach in VB and Ocean View in Norfolk. You can get more home for your money (or save on rent for a similar dwelling) there, but there's less variety in food/entertainment. The Google Maps drive time to Harbor Park is similar in ideal conditions, but I-264 from the Oceanfront is likely to be better in early evening traffic.

Check out Ghent, Freemason, Monticello corridor, Odu areas in Norfolk. Super close to the places you've mentioned! Also these areas are very vibrant and urban, with a lot of things in walking distance!
