We will be driving from Mt. Vernon to Nashville and plan to stop midway on Interstate 81. What town should we stay in that provides attractions/restaurants, etc. We have an 11 year old. Thank you.

Roanoke.. or Natural Bridge?
Mt Vernon is in Alexendria va correct? If so you have a few options off of interstate 81.. but I would choose the Roanoke area. You should stay downtown in the Hotel Roanoke your daughter would enjoy it, its really historical and a very neat place to stay. There are many things do here, including a must see: The Roanoke star. When my nephews come and see me they have to go to the star. There are many mueseams here to see as well. And lots of Resturants. I would also think about stopping in Natural Bridge and see the Zoo there its pretty cool. Here's a site that might be helpful...
