Lynchburg right now has a great supply of custom older homes you cannot duplicate for twice the price. All located in terrific family neighborhood.

All gorgeous neighborhoods but I'll take the one on Peakland! The tree canopy and grassy island make me swoon every time I go down that street.

Link, Langhorne, Rivermont and Boonsboro are pretty busy streets but these sit back so graciously. Personally, I think Lynchburg is a really beautiful city. I think the Oakwood Place one was open for `Historic Garden Week a few years ago. Living in NoVa now, I really miss Lynchburg. You're lucky to be there permenantly, Badger74.

We thought of retiring there but our kids are drawing us further south. I keep looking for neighborhoods like Peakland.

Wow -- 4 of the 5 houses on Peakland! That should be a great tour. If I weren't too involved with HSW up here, I'd take a day off and go! I've been in one of those houses but the others would be fun.
